What is fog?

  • It is a small encryption application for Android 8+, created to be as easy to operate as an offline application, which can use various communication applications to transfer encrypted data.. (email, messenger,..)
  • It is protection against the storage of unencrypted data by various communication applications, where the transmission is guaranteed to be encrypted, but on the server side it can be decrypted and stored that way.. (e.g. in gmail messages you can search by content.. if the messages were also stored encrypted, it would not be possible.. )
  • It is therefore used not only to encrypt (for now short) texts, but also allows you to clearly store and search individual communication threads.
  • It also allows you to easily copy (un)encrypted texts and user settings using QR code and Bluetooth.
  • Since the fog-app can run on a device physically outside the network (internet), it is impossible to send any data away in any way, any backdoor would be in the application, or in other software on the device
  • Protected export and import of all application data allows easy portability to another device.
  • In the Pro version, (pdf, json) export of communication threads will be added for now, it will become the main development branch.

Čo je fog?

  • Je to malá šifrovacia aplikácia pre Android 8+, tvorená tak, aby bola čo najjednoduchšie prevádzkovateľná ako offline aplikácia, ktorá na prenos ňou zašifrovaných dát môže využívať rôzne komunikačné aplikacie.. (email, messenger,..)
  • Je to ochrana pred ukladaním nešifrovaných dát rôznymi komunikačnými aplikáciami, kde je prenos síce zaručene šifrovaný, ale na strane servera môže byť rozšifrovaný a tak uložený.. (napr. v gmail spravach si možete prehľadávať podľa obsahu.. ak by správy boli aj uložené zašifrovane, nešlo by to.. )
  • Slúži teda nielen na šifrovanie (zatial krátkych) textov, ale umožnuje aj prehľadne ukladať a prehľadávať jednotlivé komunikačné vlákna.
  • Takisto umožnuje jednoducho kopírovať (ne)šifrované texty a nastavenia používateľov pomocou QR kódu a bluetooth.
  • Keďže može fog-app bežať na zariadení fyzicky mimo sieť (internet), je nemožné akokoľvek odoslať akékoľvek dáta preč, akýkoľvek backdoor by bol v aplikácii, resp. v inom software v zariadení
  • Chránený export a import všetkých dát aplikácie umožňuje ľahkú prenositeľnosť na iné zariadenie.
  • V Pro verzii bude zatiaľ pridaný (pdf, json) export komunikačných vlákien, ona sa stane hlavnou vývojovou vetvou.
